At The House of Patola, our journey is guided by an enduring passion for Patola silk, a weave that carries India’s cultural soul and centuries of handloom artistry. For our founder, Pujaa Shah, Patola is more than fabric. It is a living legacy, thoughtfully reinterpreted through every Indo Western creation. Inspired by the regal elegance of Jaipur and Bhavnagar, our focus lies in shaping pure silk Patola into refined, contemporary outfits that feel wearable, relevant, and deeply connected to heritage.
Vision: To honour the finest traditions of Indian clothing, with Patola remaining at the very core of who we are.
Working with Patola is intricate, demanding, rare, and deeply respected. Within this complexity lives our commitment. Under Pujaa Shah’s direction, over two years have been devoted to crafting just 35 to 40 bespoke Patola pieces, each one created with intention, precision, and pride by skilled artisans.
This is not just fashion.
It is heritage brought to life.
It is Patola, redefined for today.
For me, design has never been limited to clothing alone. It has always been a form of expression, a reflection of heritage, and a sense of identity. Patola, with its richness and intricate craftsmanship, holds a deeply personal place in my journey. It is more than fabric. It is a story of culture, devotion, and enduring strength.
When I founded The House of Patola, my vision was clear. To honour tradition while shaping it for the present. Every piece we create seeks to bridge heritage with modernity, offering designs that are bold, wearable, and rooted in craft.
Working with Patola is challenging. It demands time, patience, and precision. Its rarity and complexity inspire me to design with intention and care. Each creation is shaped through dedication, accuracy, and respect for the craft. My hope is that every woman who wears Patola not only feels beautiful, but also empowered, carrying with her the pride of India’s cultural soul.
